When I was in Year 10 at high school in the thick of teenage angst (slamming doors, useless crushes on boys and angry journal entries about my mother), I attended a Leadership Program. It was a three day course which taught all of us pimply, hormone-fuelled, grumpy teens a few basic truths about ourselves, our relationships, our emotions and life.
