It is very true that the simplest healing tools are the most powerful. It’s also true that these are the ones that are most often over looked. This is especially the case when it comes to the topic of today’s blog post: nature.
It’s no surprise that a few years ago my body had to resort to drastic measures to get me to give it what it needed. I was living a life of excess when it came to alcohol, drugs and bad foods; but I was living a life of lack when it came to aligning with nature.Read More
If you’ve been following this blog for quite a while, you may know that my dad is an absolute superstar. As well as being the nicest person alive, he has been the sole bread-winner and carer for our family while Mum and I have been on Gerson Therapy. Not only does he work six days a week, but he also cooks our breakfasts, prepares all of our juicing produce for the day, makes our Hippocrates soup, boils coffee, does most of the produce shopping, and tends to our organic veggie garden. He is amazing. But what does Dad have to do with Camu Camu? Plenty. You see; we have to make sure that my dad is perfectly healthy and to do this I make him a big superfood green smoothie every morning. The latest addition to this smoothie is Camu Camu powder.Read More
I was hanging out with some friends a while ago and we were chatting about how long we think it will be until we decide we’re ready to pop out some kids. One of my friends said to me, “You will probably have to wait until you start eating proper food though, won’t you? Because you will be eating for two then.” I let the comment slide, but my sensitive side felt like it had just been slapped. Proper food?! Gosh, because what I eat now is not proper? This is just one of many occasions when my eating habits have been judged by my well-meaning loved ones who don’t quite understand why I eat the way I eat.Read More
I first heard Kyle Cease talk during a telesummit at the beginning of the year and I instantly became a fan. Kyle is a comedian, actor (you may remember him from 10 Things I Hate About You and Not Another Teen Movie) and motivational speaker. After 20 years on the comedy circuit, Kyle now combines transformation with comedy to bring a less-serious tone to the landscape. He is also one of the nicest guys ever.Read More

During our Winter Retreat Jess, Susana and I were brainstorming topics to write about, and when this idea came up Jess was literally jumping with excitement!
So here we go… Household Rubbish You Can Put in Your Garden
I love recycling. I’ve been doing it for years. But when I found out much of the stuff we put in the recycle bin can be recycled ‘on site’ in our own back-yard, thereby saving fuel and resources by not manufacturing yet another product, and instead letting nature have her way with my waste, I fell in love with recycling at it’s best.Read More
Dr Frank Lipman is an absolute breath of fresh air in the medical community, and it is a damn shame that he is part of the minority of doctors who are so onto it.
“I see myself as a partner in my patient´s health journey,” Dr Lipman states on his website. “A large part of what I do is teach patients how to get well and stay healthy. But the first step in any program is for you, the patient, to take responsibility for your own health.”Read More
Chatting with Daniel Vitalis was one of the most interesting interviews I have ever done. He is so energetic, entertaining and magnetic – and thinks so differently to almost everyone in the nutrition world.
Daniel is a Leading Health, Nutrition, and Personal Development Strategist and a Nature Based Philosopher. He encourages us to “ReWild”, by teaching that our invincible health is a product of living in alignment with our biological design and our role in the ecosystem.Read More
Ever since finishing Gerson Therapy and having my “no seeds” rule lifted, I have been getting stuck into chia seeds. They are versatile little suckers, and they are jam-packed with so much goodness.
Here are a heap of reasons to eat chia:Read More
Last week I gave you a first look into The Lifestyle Transformation Guide, posting a snippet of my interview with yogi Kathryn Budig. Today, I’m unveiling a little more and giving you part of my chat with nutrition super star Cyndi O’Meara.
Cyndi is one of Australia’s leading nutritionists, and is the author of the best-selling Changing Habits, Changing Lives. She is also one of my greatest mentors, and I’m now lucky enough to be able to call her a friend.

Many women loathe menstruating. It brings on all kinds of unwanted signs and symptoms – rising body temperature (cue night sweats), headaches (pre-menstrual, at onset, during and at the end of the period – all diagnostic tools related to hormones), pain, bloating, and for some, vomiting and diarrhea. Oh and then there are mood swings – they’re fun… not! If I suffered from any of the above, I’d want to jump ship too! But here’s a little tip – these unwelcome signs are your body’s way of communicating with you that things aren’t in great shape. While we have accepted that these pre menstrual (PMS) and menstrual symptoms are simply part of the package, they don’t need to be there. They are treatable.
