Possibly less than you think.
Years ago, we were all encouraged to spend at least 30 mins a day doing some kind of exercise. If you wanted to lose weight, the prevailing wisdom was the more exercise the better.
However, new research is coming to light that show hours spent sweating it out in the gym is entirely unnecessary.
Unless of course you flipping love it, then fill your boots.
But if you’re pressed for time, confused about how you should be spending it when you are at the gym, or dreading your 1-hour Spin class – then read on.Read More
With temperatures dropping to chilly here in Australia, my morning mountain climbing is getting harder and harder to get out of bed for (although it’s still always worth it once I’m there). However, the part of my exercise regime that is pure bliss at the moment is hot yoga. Walking into that heated room feels like walking out into the sunshine.Read More
After giving you a run down of everything I eat in a day, I had a few requests to give you an insight of what my exercise schedule looks like.
I have a confession to make. Up until fairly recently, my exercise routine was pretty poor. I used to be addicted to Bikram yoga and would do that three or four times a week, but when I started Gerson Therapy and every hour was accounted for in front of the juicer, Bikram flew way down my list of priorities and my desire to exercise plummeted. But this year I made a commitment to myself to move my body in some way every single day. It’s something I bang on about constantly, so I figured it was time for me to walk my talk.Read More

I used to have a Kombucha problem. Which came to a head when my wife kicked me in the head and broke my nose. That’s also when I met my shaman, Edmund. Let me start from the beginning.Read More
GUEST POST BY SUSANA FRIONI. That white space on your schedule that was originally booked for yoga, has somehow been taken over with answering emails, taking that phone call, finishing that project, catching up with friends, taking care of the family, attending that social event, scrolling through social media, and working longer hours.Read More

I am going to die.
Or at least, that is what I thought during my first Bikram yoga class. Die, pass out, throw up, have a heart attack. They all seemed like viable options, and I was so ready to welcome anything that would end the torture and suffering.
For those of you that have been living in Greenland for the past few years, Bikram yoga is an intensive 90 minute yoga practice.
“90 minutes?” you say? “No sweat!”Read More

I’ll never forget my very first yoga class. It took me about two months to finally go (I always found an excuse to go next week, and next week just never came). I was a little nervous. I didn’t know what to expect. I couldn’t relax because my mind was obsessing with whether I was doing it right and my eyes were busy looking around for confirmation. I felt like I was always behind. I didn’t get the terminology.Read More
