8 Things I’m Loving At The Moment
1. ALEXANDRA FRANZAN
As a mega word nerd, I get giddy when I here prose that is so witty and beautifully written that I have to pause every few lines just to allow my mind to soak it in. Alexandra’s stuff is just like that. She is funny, wise, and so much fun to work with. How’s this line she has about herself on her website:
“Think of me as your soul stenographer & secret business-building weapon—a copywriter-on-acid with ruthless (but loving) attention to clarity, aesthetics and poetic details.”
Love her. Click here to read her stuff.
2. LOVE NOTES FROM MY TRIBE
A few days ago I received an email from one of my readers, who sent me a link to a blog post she wrote about me, and how I have inspired her journey with breast cancer. Holy cow, this was the nicest thing I have ever read. She called me an Earth Angel. An Earth Angel! It’s so easy to focus on the negative comments that come with the territory of being a health blogger, so it is unbelievably affirming and beautiful to receive something as nice as this. I am so grateful to have such an amazing online family here, and I want each and every one of you to know it!
3. LOVING EARTH CHOCOLATES
Seriously, one of you guys needs to come over to my place and pry the chocolate box out of my greedy fingers. I love Loving Earth so much that I only whip out my stash in front of my boyfriend because I know that he will decline when I offer him a piece (weirdo doesn’t like chocolate. Weirdo). Loving Earth has the best chocolates ever. They are vegan, made with raw cacao and are sweetened with goodness like coconut nectar (some contain agave, but I just pass on those ones). Go here and drool over the selection on their website.
4. MY NEW ADOPDET LLAMA
I entered a Twitter competition my friend Paul Jarvis ran a few months ago and I won myself a llama. Yes, that’s right, a llama. His name is Gent (short for “Gentle Giant”) and his lives at the StillPointe Llama Sanctuary in Silverdale, Washington. This is an awesome place where they rescue, rehabilitate and care for our adorable llama friends. Click here to adopt your own llama.
5. WINTER ON THE SUNSHINE COAST
The bluest of blue skies, sitting outside and soaking up the morning sun in my PJs, and the ability to lie outside in my swimmers in the middle of the day. I am so in love with where I live it’s not even funny. The temperatures might have dropped to the point where we need to wear jumpers, trackie pants, and slippers in the house – and pull out the heater when doing enemas – but I am still so grateful for this glorious weather.
6. GUEST POSTING HERE AND THERE
I love doing guest posts and interviews for sites that I love and while I’ve had to cut back on them while I’m working on my Lifestyle Transformation Guide (see number 8 below), I’ve had several published recently. Have a read, if you like:

7. THE DAILY LOVE
The Daily Love is an amazing wisdom and inspiration infused website created by Mastin Kipp. I have been a subscriber to the TDL for ages, but I had signed up to their newsletter via an old email account and had totally forgotten about it until recently. I finally signed up again, and have made reading Mastin’s Daily Download a permanent part of my morning routine. It just makes the day better.
8. THE WELLNESS WARRIOR LIFESTYLE TRANSFORMATION GUIDE
So I’ve just come back from doing cartwheels on the grass outside*. That’s how excited I am about introducing this e-program to you guys. It is my biggest, best, and most life-changing project to date, and it is going to be awesome. It is also going to be much bigger and better than I first anticipated, which has pushed my launch date back until September. I am still in the creation phase – filming videos, working with my designer, recording audio, and writing brilliant content – but I want to keep you guys in the loop as things are happening. To be the first in the know more and receive behind-the-scenes news, jump over to this page and sign up for updates. I promise, you are going to love it!
*Not really. I don’t know how to do a cartwheel.
Positive affirmation for the day: I choose thoughts that make me feel good.

I was lucky enough to be up your way yesterday and visited the sunshine coast for the first time. Its absolutely stunning and you are so lucky to live there! My husband and I eventually want to leave the city for warmer waters, this are is at the top of my list now!

You are so bloody cute xxx
Melissa » You are!!! xx
Doing somersaults and fooking forward to the Lifestyle Transformation Guide. Thanks for all you do!
Hi Jess,
Just curious.. Whats wrong with agave in chocolate?
Nina » Hi Nina, I’m not a fan of agave as a sweetener. Here is a post I wrote about it a while back: http://www.thewellnesswarrior.com.au/2011/05/why-i-was-wrong-to-recommend-agave-nectar/ x
This small world, just got even smaller! Silverdale, Washington, where your llama lives, is my hometown!!! It’s such a tiny little place, so that completely blows my mind!
I think having a llama would also be high on my LOVE list. Great post
Can’t wait for the guide to come out!!
Really looking forward to it. You are such a great example of how everyone should make self care their first priority.
Xx
Hi Jess! I am a 23 year old woman from Sweden and I really enjoy your site. It’s very exciting to follow your and your mothers journey. I don’t have cancer, but many other serious health problems and I’m going to buy a Gerson book, probably “The Gerson Therapy: The Proven Nutritional Program for Cancer and Other Illnesses” and I wonder if you can tell me if I can find much information about other diseases in there, like “autoimmune” diseases? And is the healing program much the same as the cancer treatment, with 13 juices for example? I wish you all the best! /Martina
Jess,
I love your blog. So much information & inspiration.
While you were on the Gerson therapy did you ever make anything with chia seeds or are they too high in protein?
How about any other so called super foods? In reading your posts you were very disciplined. My friend has ovarian cancer and just came back from Gerson Wellness in Arizona. She is getting frustrated with the diet. Thanks, Lisa
lisa brock » Hi Lisa, thank you! No, I didn’t stray from Gerson at all while I was on the full diet – so no chia seeds or any other superfoods. The diet can be frustrating, but there is a reason why it is how it is. Now that I have reached the two year mark the smallest changes to the diet are so exciting. Tell your friend that it is worth the wait!! xx
Hey Jess,
I am also completely obsessed with Loving Earth Chocolates, actually I love all of their product! And its so well priced when you buy it online. Massive fan!
The Lifestyle Transformation Guide looks fantastic, can’t wait to hear all about it in September, so proud of you! ![]()

I know there is so much good stuff on this page, but I just went straight for the chocolate!! hehehe. Sounds delicious…I wonder if they import to Canada…gonna find out! xo
Ahh Jess, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE loving earth chocolates too. So good, so yummy! I am allergic to chocolates (but found out it was an allergic reaction to the food-like substances they add to commercial chocolates), but loving earth chocs are great!!
Thanks for sharing this list! Your llama is so cute! <3 xx
OMG I love Loving Earth choccy, Mastin Kipp (discovered him more recently from an interview with Marie Forleo!) and winter on the Sunshine Coast…just wish it would stop raining! Love that your guide is coming along so well! That’s great Jess!
