8 Things I’m Loving At The Moment
1. WHERE I LIVE
At the risk of sounding like I’m on the payroll for Coolum tourism, I really do live in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. The weather has been absolutely amazing lately, and thankfully I’ve been able to get out and about more than usual. I’ve been going for long walks from my house down to the beach, sitting outside in the sun each morning, and really just making most of the amazing healing environment I am so blessed to have. If you have no idea where Coolum is, it’s on the Sunshine Coast about an hour north of Brisbane and about 20 minutes south of Noosa. If you’re ever in Queensland, I definitely recommend coming here for a visit.
2. ALIVE NEW YORK
On June 29-30, you have the chance to attend (either in person or virtually) the largest celebrity health and eco benefit and awards show in the world. ALIVE New York is a two-day conference and awards show bringing you insider health secrets from top health experts including Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski, Dr. Leonard Coldwell, Dr. Robert Young, Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez, Mike Adams and many more.
All proceeds from this event go to funding natural anti-cancer clinics as well as over 15 other charities. Your ticket will get you 15 hours of life-changing information from twenty of the world’s top speakers. You will learn how to reverse cancer naturally, learn why cancer is NOT a death sentence and why it should NOT be feared, how to change your world from the inside out and teach others to do the same, how to grow your resources and value financial freedom and how to protect yourself and family in a world of the un-known.
Go to www.alivenewyork.com to purchase your ticket for the global live streaming, or to see it all happen in person in New York.
So simple. So tasty. So filling. Quinoa really is one of the best culinary inventions ever. I made this easy dish the other night as a side to our usual Gerson meal, but it could easily be a meal on it’s own.
What you’ll need:
1 cup quinoa
½ cup fresh basil
½ cup fresh coriander (aka cilantro)
1 clove garlic
2 tsp turmeric
What to do:
1. Rinse quinoa and the add to a pot with about 2 cups of water.
2. Bring to the boil, and then reduce to simmer for about 15-20 minutes. All water should be soaked up, but you don’t want the quinoa to turn too mushy.
3. Add garlic and turmeric towards the end and stir through.
4. Turn off the heat and add chopped herbs.
5. Serve with a drizzle of olive oil (or flaxseed oil once it’s cool).
4. VEGAN CARD
My friends Amanda and Dave from Vegan Era are gearing up to launch their latest awesome initiative – the Vegan Card! This card is kind of like your VIP pass to the vegan world. It will grant you all sorts of discounts from businesses online and all over Australia, that are doing their bit to make the world a kinder place. Some businesses include Be Genki, Sanctus Stones, Adorn Mineral Cosmetics, and ME! This card will get you a 10% discount off of all of my products. Plus, a portion of the proceeds from this card is supporting Edgar’s Mission – one of my favourite charities in the world. The card officially launched on June 1, but it’s on sale now.
WIN A VEGAN CARD!!
Amanda and Dave would like to give a Vegan Card away to one lucky wellness warrior. If you would like to win, simply leave a comment under this post telling me about the positive changes you’ve noticed in your body since following a plant-based diet. I will announce the winner in this Friday’s newsletter. So make sure you’re on the list.
5. CLAY FACE MASKS
One of my readers, Dani Angel (how cool is that name!), sent me some of her holistic skin care products last week and I really want to tell you about them. Dani’s range is called Scented, and it is so beautiful. It’s also totally natural, organic and includes divine essential oils. My friend, Sarah, and I tried out the French Green Clay mask the other night, and it made our skin so soft. I love a good face mask – it’s one of the only beauty rituals I perform regularly to draw toxins and impurities out of my skin. Go to www.scentedholisticskincare.com.au.
6. FANCY SALAD
I may have completed my two years of “official” Gerson Therapy, but a whopping big plate of salad twice a day is still a massive priority for me. This is one we had the other day. It had in it:
Zucchini (made into noodles with the Spirooli)
I added chickpeas, flaxseed oil and apple cider vinegar after I put it on my plate.
You know how I told you that I did Marie Forleo’s B-School last year? Well, this program did so much for my business (which was really just a hobby then) that I am doing the course again this year to take things to even greater levels. I know this doesn’t benefit you directly, but bear with me. Marie Forleo is one of my biggest influences – both for her spunky personality and because she is just so darn clever when it comes to making money online. She is THE person to learn from in this area. She’s so impressive that big wigs like Richard Branson and Tony Robbins hang with her.
Marie just opened the doors to her legendary B-School program, and I have to say that this year looks freaking amazing! She has stepped it up even more.
Go here to see the program and enroll now. Check out exactly what you’ll learn – and what you won’t – in this 8 week training to help you leverage your online presence for more sales and more impact. I heard from Marie that she doesn’t think she’s offering this program again “live” for a while so if you want to work with her, now is the time. If you’re wondering if B-School is right for you, scroll down to the bottom of this page, in her classic no BS fashion, she addresses virtually EVERY concern or question you have!
All my talking her up still won’t do Marie and this program justice, so check out this video to hear from the lady herself:
