Christmas Day In The Life Of A Gerson Person

Posted December 27, 2011

This year was my third sober Christmas, and my second Christmas as a Gerson Person. I have to say, even though I couldn’t partake in the cold Coronas, or pig out on the buckets of fresh prawns, this year’s Christmas Day was really lovely.

Maybe I’m finally starting to grow up, or perhaps the Therapy has finally broken my resistance, but there’s nothing I would have changed about the day. I got to spend it with the people I love more than anything in the world, and we sat down to the most delicious feast of Gerson Therapy food. In the afternoon we took Edie, our little pug girl, for a walk down the beach and checked out the huge swell. The weather even turned it on for us, and we were reminded why it’s so great to live somewhere most people would come to holiday.

Here’s a little look at the moments that made up Christmas 2011 at The Wellness Warrior house …

THE PRESENTS

THE FOOD

On the menu: Hippocrates soup, a big toss salad, roast pumpkin, a green been and tomato salad, hummus, raw creamy corn zucchini pumpkin, roast potatoes, and apple-cherry pudding for dessert.

THE AFTERNOON DRIVE

Positive affirmation for the day: I am so grateful to be surrounded by such supportive and loving friends and family.

MY CHRISTMAS GIFT TO GERSON …

I am donating 50% of all sales of my Healing Through The Holidays recipe e-book to the Gerson Institute. Gerson Therapy has saved my life, and so many others like me, and I want to do this as a Christmas present to them. These people work so hard to get the Gerson message out, and help so many people with cancer and other chronic illnesses, and they rely on donations to make it all happen. Hello Jess,.
My husband Mark has stage 4 prostate cancer, and every treatment they have tried has failed. We live in Calif. So the trip to Mexico was easy. We are now starting on our 2nd month on the Gerson Therapy. Of course we had our challenges, especially with his first ” Big” flare. I have never known him to be sick or in pain, so it was very difficult for me ( I am a retired nurse ). We both have gained so much in such a short time, and we are so very Grateful to be on Gerson. I love to cook and will try your receipes, as soon as my husband has an appetite. Please let us know how you two are doing it sure helps. We are planning a big party at our 2yrs. It will be our 13th anniversary!
Keep in touch, All of our best to you
mark and Deb

Hi Jess – can you tell me what your thoughts are on a theromix for blending?

sorry i have put this in the wrong section!!

Carly » Hi Carly, I am saving up for a Thermomix. I have heard they are brilliant for everything, including blending. I was planning on getting a Vitamix, but I think I’m going to keep saving for the Thermo because it blends plus does a lot more. x
