The Green Warrior Smoothie

Happy Friday!

Seeing the Dalai Lama in person yesterday was amazing (any occassion where I get to leave the house is pretty great, but this was extra special), but I’m going to save the post on that for next week. Today I really want to share this yummy smoothie my boyfriend and I whizzed up this morning. There is so much green goodness in this thing it’s insane. Enjoy xx

What you’ll need:
1 large stalk kale
1 stalk silver beet
3 large leaves Cos lettuce
1 small banana
½ kiwi fruit
½ cup apple juice
½ cup purified water
Juice of ½ lemon (optional)
Stevia (to taste)

What to do: Add the apple juice, water and chopped lettuce, kale and silver beet to the blender. Starting the blender on a low speed, mix until smooth. Gradually moving to higher speeds, add the kiwi fruit and banana. Add the stevia and lemon juice last. You can add more apple juice at the end if you want to water the smoothie down.

    Yum. Do you purify your own water or is there a particular brand you buy?

    Project girl. You don’t need a juicer. This one is made a a blender! It’s so yum I have it at least 3 times a week now x
